### About Us

MemeMax is a decentralized trading platform offering both spot and perpetual markets. Built with a community-first mindset, MemeMax is designed to serve not only traders, but the broader MemeCore ecosystem.

The platform is supported by a **300,000,000 $M grant from MemeCore**, enabling MemeMax to actively contribute to the activation and expansion of the ecosystem. While trading remains a core focus, MemeMax goes beyond traditional exchange functionality by offering interactive and engaging ways for the community to participate in projects and events.

We are built to move quickly. By adapting to market conditions and emerging trends, we will continuously evolve to meet the needs of both users and ecosystem partners.

***

### What Differentiates MemeMax

MemeMax introduces a unique approach to decentralized trading through seasonal events with creative and evolving architectures. These events are designed to keep participation dynamic while aligning incentives with current market trends.

As MemeCore’s first decentralized trading platform, MemeMax plays a central role in connecting liquidity, users, and projects within the ecosystem. The platform is built around a sustainable cycle that benefits participants at every stage.

We do not focused solely on retail traders. We also provides meaningful opportunities for projects within the MemeCore ecosystem to gain exposure, activate their communities, and directly interact with traders through integrated events and incentives.

***

### Vision

MemeMax aims to create a trading environment where **projects and traders can directly engage with one another** in a transparent and decentralized manner.

Guided by a community-first philosophy, MemeMax seeks to expand participation beyond trading alone. By enabling users to engage, earn, and invest, the platform is building an ecosystem where value flows naturally between traders, projects, and the broader MemeCore network.

### MemeCore Grant

On October 22nd, 2025, MemeMax received a total of [300,000,000 $M in grants](https://x.com/MemeMax_Fi/status/1980954215771185471?s=20) from MemeCore. This grant reflects MemeCore’s confidence in MemeMax as a core piece of its ecosystem.

MemeMax is committed to allocating the majority of these funds toward community growth and project activation within the MemeCore ecosystem. The grant is intended to support long-term participation, ecosystem expansion, and meaningful engagement rather than short-term incentives.

***

### MemePack Partnership

> MemePack brings an element of surprise and engagement to the MemeCore Network. Users can earn packs through on-chain activity, open them to reveal randomized rewards, and discover outcomes ranging from rare items to meme-inspired incentives. Each pack is designed to keep participation engaging while maintaining a sense of discovery.

MemeMax integrates the MemePack architecture across the platform, using it as a core mechanism for rewards, events, and ecosystem participation. This partnership allows MemeMax to deliver interactive experiences that align incentives for traders, users, and projects within the MemeCore ecosystem.

# Fees

Traders pay trading fees at every trade. Fees are charged as a percentage of the total transaction value (size). There are mainly 2 types of fees charged:

#### Maker fees

Maker fees are charged when a trader **adds liquidity** to the order book.

A maker order is typically a **limit order** that does not execute immediately and instead rests on the order book, waiting to be matched by another trader. By adding liquidity, makers help improve market depth and price discovery. As a result, maker fees are generally **lower than taker fees**, and in some cases may be incentivized.

**Example:** A limit order placed below the current market price that remains on the order book.

#### Taker fees

Taker fees are charged when a trader **removes liquidity** from the order book.

A taker order executes **immediately** against existing orders in the order book. This includes market orders and limit orders that are instantly matched upon placement. Because takers consume available liquidity, taker fees are typically **higher than maker fees**.

**Example:** A market order or a limit order that fills instantly at the current market price.

### MemeMax Fees

**Taker fee:** 0.15%

**Maker fee:** 0.005%

# Funding rate

> Source: Orderly Network docs

Funding Fees are cash flows that are periodically exchanged between traders holding long positions and traders holding short positions. Those cash flows are based on a Funding Rate. This aims to ensure the Futures price closely follows the underlying asset price (ie the Index Price). Usually, in Orderly, Funding payments with a settlement frequency of every eight hours start at 00:00 (UTC), 08:00 (UTC), and 16:00 (UTC). Funding payments with a settlement frequency of every four hours start at 00:00 (UTC), 04:00 (UTC), 08:00 (UTC), 12:00 (UTC), 16:00 (UTC), and 20:00 (UTC). In the event of extreme market volatility, Orderly reserves the right to update the Funding Rate Floor and Cap, as well as the funding interval of a perpetual contract that differs from the default 8-hour funding interval. In some cases, such as new listing or extreme volatility on a specific symbol, Orderly reserves the right to update the funding rate interval to a shorter time frame 4h, 2h or 1h.The Funding rate is determined by two components: the Premium and the Interest Rate.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/funding-rate#premium-calculation)Premium calculation <a href="#premium-calculation" id="premium-calculation"></a>

The Funding Rate is determined mainly by the Premium, which measures the deviation between the Futures price and the Index Price (ie the Basis). In order to avoid manipulation, Orderly uses Impact Bid and Ask prices, rather than the highest bid and lowest ask only.

* The Impact Bid Price represents the average fill price to execute a sell order with the size of the Impact Margin Notional.
* The Impact Ask Price represents the average fill price to execute a buy order with the size of the Impact Margin Notional.
* The Impact Margin Notional is the notional available to trade with 1,000 USDC of collateral at the maximum leverage of the specific market. For example, for NEAR-USDC, the maximum leverage is 10x, so Impact Margin Notional is 10,000 USDC.

Every 15 seconds, Orderly computes the Premium index according to the following formula:

```
Premium = [Max(0, Impact Bid Price - I) - Max(0, I - Impact Ask Price)] / I
I = Index Price
```

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/funding-rate#piecewise-linear-funding-rate-function)Piecewise linear funding rate function <a href="#piecewise-linear-funding-rate-function" id="piecewise-linear-funding-rate-function"></a>

For each funding period, Orderly calculates the Premium every 15 seconds. The number of Premium points depends on the funding period: N = 240 points for 1-hour periods, N = 960 points for 4-hour periods, and N = 1,920 points for 8-hour periods. An Average Premium is then computed:

```
Average Premium = (Premium_1 + Premium_2 + ... + Premium_N) / N
```

Once the Average Premium for the funding period has been computed, a funding piecewise linear function with three regions is applied to the Average PremiumThe **Funding Function** is defined as follows to allow for faster convergence in case the prices deviate significantly:

```
Funding Function(x) =
  x , if |x| < 0.5%
  0.5%  * sign(x) + (x - 0.5% * sign(x)) * 2, if 0.5% < |x| < 1.5%
  [0.5% + (1.5% - 0.5%) * 2] * sign(x) + (x - 1.5% * sign(x)) * 4, if |x| > 1.5%
NB: x refers here to the Average Premium
```

| Premium | Range               | Slope |
| ------- | ------------------- | ----- |
| Low     | \|x\| < 0.5%        | 1     |
| Medium  | 0.5% < \|x\| < 1.5% | 1     |
| Large   | 1.5% < \|x\|        | 1     |

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/funding-rate#interest-rate)Interest Rate <a href="#interest-rate" id="interest-rate"></a>

To this funding function, we add the second component of the funding rate which is the Interest Rate. By definition, it is equal to:

```
Interest Rate = (USDC Interest - Underlying Base Asset interest) / Funding Interval
```

The Interest Rate is fixed to be 0.01% for all Perpetual Markets (assuming USDC interest of 0.06%, Asset interest rate equal to 0.03%). Orderly reserves the right to adjust the Interest Rate depending on market conditions.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/funding-rate#final-funding-rate)Final Funding Rate <a href="#final-funding-rate" id="final-funding-rate"></a>

The final Funding Rate is then a combination of the Average Premium and the Interest Rate.

```
Funding Rate = clamp[Funding Function(Average Premium) + clamp(Interest Rate - Average Premium , cap_ir, floor_ir) / (8/N), Cap Funding, Floor Funding]
```

The funding rate is also capped and floored respectively by a `Cap Funding` and a `Floor Funding`. The specific values depend on each perpetual market. In the event of extreme market conditions, Orderly may change these parameters, which will enable the funding rate model’s higher slope to kick in.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/funding-rate#funding-period)Funding Period <a href="#funding-period" id="funding-period"></a>

The Funding Period for Orderly perpetual futures contracts can be 1 hour, 4 hours, or 8 hours depending on the specific market. The Funding Rate is expressed on the basis of the funding period for each market. Most markets use an 8-hour funding period, while some markets use 4-hour or 1-hour periods to better respond to market conditions.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/funding-rate#accrued-funding)Accrued Funding <a href="#accrued-funding" id="accrued-funding"></a>

At each funding settlement time, a position on a Perpetual Futures contract will accrue the following funding:

```
Accrued Funding(dt) = Position Size * Mark Price * Funding Rate
```

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/funding-rate#funding-settlement)Funding settlement <a href="#funding-settlement" id="funding-settlement"></a>

The accrued funding of an account’s position is settled when a PNL settlement is being called on that account.

# Liquidations

> Source: Orderly Network docs

An account is subject to liquidation if its Account Margin Ratio falls below its Maintenance Margin Ratio. Orderly uses the Mark Price to represent a contract’s estimated value. As it derives from multiple reputable spot exchanges and the funding rate, it is less volatile than the Last Price and discourages bad actors from manipulating the market price to trigger liquidations. When an account is under liquidation, its current open orders are automatically cancelled and its USDC balance is frozen.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/liquidations#decentralized-liquidations)Decentralized Liquidations <a href="#decentralized-liquidations" id="decentralized-liquidations"></a>

Unlike CEXs (Centralized Exchanges) or a few other dApps such as dYdX, at Orderly, liquidations are decentralized.Most of the time, CEXs directly close positions on the orderbook, which often triggers cascading liquidations, hurting traders further and encouraging bad actors to manipulate market prices.Orderly adopts a decentralized liquidation model where positions are transferred to **liquidators** at a discount instead of being market sold in the orderbook. It is fully decentralized as anyone with an Orderly account can act as a liquidator, as long as the account has enough margin to take over the liquidated positions. Further details on how an account can claim liquidating positions can be found in the API docs.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/liquidations#liquidation-trigger)Liquidation Trigger <a href="#liquidation-trigger" id="liquidation-trigger"></a>

A liquidation is triggered if the Account Margin Ratio (AMR) is below the Maintenance Margin Ratio (MMR) required for the account.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/liquidations#liquidation-tiers)Liquidation Tiers <a href="#liquidation-tiers" id="liquidation-tiers"></a>

All trading pairs are not equal in term of risk. In Orderly, there are two groups of symbol tier:

* **Low Tier Risk:** Liquidators can only claim a ratio of all symbols. Claiming a single symbol is not allowed
* **High Tier Risk:** Liquidators can claim 1 single symbol

| Tier | Perp Markets |
| ---- | ------------ |
| Low  | BTC ; ETH    |
| High | Others       |

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/liquidations#liquidation-amount)Liquidation amount <a href="#liquidation-amount" id="liquidation-amount"></a>

The amount of positions that need to be liquidated is calculated for both low tier and each symbol of high tier perp markets. Whenever possible, each amount is computed so that the Account Margin Ratio equals the Initial Margin Ratio.I f the account has multiple positions in the low tier risk, the positions will be partially liquidated in a volume-weighted fashion.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/liquidations#liquidation-fee)Liquidation fee <a href="#liquidation-fee" id="liquidation-fee"></a>

When an account is liquidated, a User Liquidation Fee is incurred. This is split between the Orderly **Insurance Fund** and the **liquidator**. Each perpetual market has its own Liquidation Fee:

| Perp Market | Liquidation Fee | Liquidator Fee |
| ----------- | --------------- | -------------- |
| BTC         | 0.60%           | 0.30%          |
| ETH         | 0.60%           | 0.30%          |
| SOL         | 0.60%           | 0.30%          |
| Others      | 1.20%           | 0.60%          |

The overall User Liquidation Fee and Liquidator Fee are calculated as follows:&#x20;

Low Tier Liquidation (multiple symbols):

```
User Liquidation Fee = Sum[Liquidation Fee(Symbol i) * Abs(Notional i)]
Liquidator Fee = Sum[Liquidator Fee(Asset i) * Abs(Notional i)]
```

High Tier Liquidation (1 symbol):

```
User Liquidation Fee = Liquidation Fee(Symbol i) * Abs(Notional i)
Liquidator Fee = Sum[Liquidator Fee(Asset i) * Abs(Notional i)]
```

* If the Account Margin Ratio is higher than the User Liquidation Fee, the User Liquidation Fee is split in half between the Insurance Fund and the liquidator (Insurance Fund and Liquidator each receives `0.5 * User Liquidation Fee`).
* If the Account Margin Ratio is between User Liquidation Fee and Liquidator Fee, then a fee equal to `0.5 * User Liquidation Fee` is paid to the liquidator, and the remaining account margin is transferred to the insurance fund.
* In the unlikely scenario that the remaining margin of the account cannot cover the Liquidator Fee, the account’s balance and positions are transferred to the insurance fund. Those positions can still be claimed by liquidators.

### [](https://orderly.network/docs/introduction/trade-on-orderly/perpetual-futures/liquidations#full-vs-partial-liquidator-takeover)Full vs Partial Liquidator Takeover <a href="#full-vs-partial-liquidator-takeover" id="full-vs-partial-liquidator-takeover"></a>

The minimum notional for a partial liquidation takeover is 10,000 USDC for low tier liquidations and 5,000 USDC for high tier liquidations. For liquidation positions below the threshold, in case of a low tier liquidation, the liquidator must take over all of the positions of the liquidated user and in case of a high tier liquidation of a specific symbol, the liquidator must claim the entire position. Above the threshold, the liquidator could choose to take over only a percentage of the positions of the liquidated user, provided that the notional of the positions taken over exceeds the threshold.Before transferring positions to the liquidator, Orderly makes sure that the liquidator can effectively take over the positions, doing similar margin checks as for new order placements.

# Referrals

### Overview

The MemeMax Referral Program allows users to earn rewards by inviting friends to trade on the platform. Every user receives a unique referral code upon account creation, making it easy to share and start earning from referred trading activity.

# About MaxPoints (MP)

MaxPoints are designed to reward users for their trading activity on MemeMax. Rather than being a one-time program, MaxPoints run in seasonal cycles. Each season introduces its own structure and set of rewards to encourage continued participation.

Every event is created with a specific objective and a focused set of features. Running events on a seasonal basis allows MaxPoints to adapt to changing market conditions and trends, enabling the launch of different event types as the ecosystem evolves.

#### Why points?

Points provide a structured and transparent way to engage traders without disrupting their normal trading experience. By turning on-platform activity into measurable progress, MaxPoints create a consistent incentive for users to stay active and involved over time.

In addition to trading outcomes, points introduce an extra layer of value beyond PnL. MaxPoints reward participation, consistency, and long-term engagement, allowing users to benefit from contributing to the broader MemeMax ecosystem and not just from individual trades.

#### About seasonal events

One-off events tend to get stale quickly and struggle to keep up with fast-moving markets. Market conditions, narratives, and trading patterns change frequently, and static events often fail to remain relevant.

Seasonal events allow MemeMax to respond to these changes by introducing new structures, mechanics, and objectives each season. This approach enables the platform to offer opportunities that align with current trends and market dynamics.

Seasonal formats also open the door to new partnerships and collaborations, expanding what can be offered to users over time. Additionally, they provide greater flexibility in designing creative and varied experiences while maintaining a clear and predictable event framework.

#### Rewards

Rewards across MaxPoints seasons will primarily be distributed through airdrops. The type, structure, and quantity of rewards may change from season to season.

This flexible reward model allows MemeMax to tailor incentives based on community interests and ecosystem needs. By adjusting rewards over time, each season can deliver value that remains relevant and aligned with user expectations.

# Season 0 - Pathfinder

<figure><img src="/files/bBzcnl689doEjjyjiesw" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Pathfinder

Pathfinder is the first season to celebrate the launch of MemeMax. Just as in space exploration, the pathfinder phase is a preparatory stage that tests new technologies and operational procedures for future, more complex missions.

For us, Pathfinder represents the first step in building something meaningful. It’s an early look at what’s ahead, designed to help our community get familiar with MemeMax and prepare for what’s coming next.

#### **What are MaxPoints (MP)?**

MaxPoints (MP) are points awarded to accounts based on their activity on the MemeMax platform. Accounts are ranked by their total MP and rewarded accordingly at the end of the season.

#### **Event duration**

* **Start:** May 7th, 2026 03:00:00 UTC.
* **End:** TBA

#### **How to participate?**

All accounts are automatically eligible to earn MaxPoints upon account registration.

***

### MaxPoints

#### **How to earn MaxPoints?**

During the Pathfinder season, users can earn MaxPoints through four primary activities:

1. **Trading Points:**

* Awarded based on trading behavior, including maker/taker contributions, trading volume, and other relevant factors.

2. **PnL Points:**

* Calculated based on realized gains and losses from trading activity.

3. **Referral Points:**

* Earned through the activity of users you refer to MemeMax.

4. **Global multipliers:**

* Designed to reward long-term engagement. No withdrawals result in higher multipliers - and more MaxPoints.

#### **MP Calculation**

* **Formula:**
  * *Total MaxPoints = (Trading Points + PnL Points) \* Global Multipliers + Referral Points*
* **Update time:**
  * Points are aggregated daily from 00:00:00 UTC to 23:59:59 UTC.
  * Points are updated weekly, every Monday, around 02:00:00 UTC \~ 03:00:00 UTC

***

### Penalties

#### **Abusive actions and sybil detection**

MemeMax reserves the right to rebalance MaxPoints for any accounts flagged for abusive or non-ethical behavior.

Accounts found engaging in severe abuse may be disqualified from the current season and, at our discretion, banned from future seasons.

***

### Notes

1. **Calculation formulas:** Specific formulas and weighting details will remain undisclosed to ensure fair competition and prevent system manipulation.
2. **Excluded accounts:** Market-making accounts are not eligible for MaxPoints.
3. **Ranking dispute:** If multiple accounts have the same Total MaxPoints, rankings will be determined based on activity timing and point composition.
4. **Screening:** Rewards will be distributed after a comprehensive review of all accounts. The final ranking and distribution date will be announced through official community channels.
